A beautiful garden room and composite decking area with decking fence completed in Great Dunmow earlier in the year transforming the area for our customer. The Garden room is built with weather treated timber and built off the ground using a steel and bolt system.
The Garden room is insulated using Celotex for the flooring and rockwool for the ceiling and walls. Fully plaster boarded and plastered. The exterior is finished with structural ply then waterproof and breathable membrane (Tyvek) battened using 2×1 battening. We then put feather edge timber cladding on to keep in sync with the local surrounding area.
This has full electrics with downlighters also exterior lights and internal sockets. We also built a side room like a potting shack and log storeroom to keep everything dry.
Exterior was painted black with barn paint again keeping it in line with surrounding area.
We then built a large, suspended stage area to put composite decking down we also put membrane down underneath the decking to stop weeds and grass coming through. The decking was finished with a dark grey (Anthracite) composite decking which now looks absolutely fantastic.
